This year's SYMON Awards were a great success. 

 
• New Business Partner of The Year : K-Mart. Garth Penrod the store manager accepted this award.

• Employer of The Year nominees were: Wyoming Tribune Eagle, Lowe’s RDC, Skils’ Kin, K-mart, Pizzaria Venti and Envisionexpress. The award went to Lowe’s RDC. 

• Employee of The Year was the third award and was presented by Janis and Tom Wagenknecht. Janis and Tom are supporters of the BLN, and their son Carol was a past recipient. The nominees for these categories were: Robby Magill, Nicole Lidner, Brian Swisher and Fred Tenorio. The award went to Brian Swisher. 

• Military/Veteran Employee or Volunteer nominees were: Scott Thomas and Jeff Schottle. The award went to Mr. Scott Thomas. 

• The Spirit of The Cheyenne BLN went to Mr. David M Ray! David has not missed one day of work since his Lowe’s hire on April, 6th.

Each fall, the Business Leadership Network holds an award ceremony celebrating National DisAbility Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM). The focus is to recognize: DisAbility Friendly Businesses that regularly employ persons with disAbilities; Community Partners who work towards the employment and success of individuals with disabilities; and Employees with DisAbilities who have overcome challenges to excel in their career and workplace.
